Yuma, CO - October 10, 2018- The City of Yuma had numerous electrical outages from last night to early morning hours with this recent heavy snowstorm. Nine separate outages were reported that affected approximately 300-500 City of Yuma residents at various times, starting from 6:08 PM to 1:30 AM, with city crews working until approximately 2:00 AM to repair lines. All the outages were caused by heavy wet snow on trees with leaves still on them, causing the branches to sag and contact the power lines. There is no permanent damage.
