City Clerk and Treasurer


                

The City Treasurer oversees the duties for the City of Yuma in the following areas:

  •     Accounts Payable
  •     Accounts Receivable
  •     Payroll
  •     General Accounting
  •     Utility Billing

The City Clerk serves as the custodian of the City Seal and keeps a record of Council proceedings, records all ordinances, motions, and resolutions.  The City Clerk also administers oaths and takes acknowledgements under seal of the City.

The City Clerk is support staff for City Council and the citizens of Yuma.  The Clerk’s Office handles such items as:  birth/death certificates, open records requests, prepares agendas, prepares minutes of Council meetings, publishes public notices, liquor licensing, records retention, updating the Municipal Code, elections, and various daily tasks.
