WQ fish consumption - Gross reservoir

Women 18-45 years old and young children should only eat one meal of Lake Trout from this lake per month.
Everyone else can eat 2 meals of Lake Trout per month.

Mercury tends to accumulate in fish, but not in the water itself.  So lake recreation and consumption of drinking water from park facilities are safe activities.

Fish are a healthy source of protein that are low in saturated fat and high in omega-3 fatty acids. Eating fish can be good for heart health and children’s growth and development. However, most fish contain traces of mercury. This represents a health risk that must be balanced with the benefits of fish consumption, especially for unborn and developing children.
For fish not included on the advisory please see the general guidelines.
