Sources affected by greenhouse gas emissions

Sources using perfluorocarbons (PFCs), hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) or sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) in their processes may be subject to the Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) and Title V permitting programs. These sources include but aren't limited to:
  • Large combustion sources.
  • Landfills.
  • Oil and gas facilities.
  • Power plants.
  • Ethanol plants.
  • Large breweries.
  • Refineries.
  • Fertilizer manufacturers.
  • Industrial facilities.
  • Mining operations

Most stationary sources in Colorado aren’t anticipated to have the potential to emit more than 100,000 tons per year equivalent carbon dioxide (CO2e). Please note, however, that exemption from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Mandatory Reporting Rule doesn’t guarantee exemption from the PSD and Title V permitting requirements.
