SARA Title III
The EPA no longer accepts paper Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) forms. All TRI reporting must be done electronically using TRI-MEweb. The only exception is for reports containing business confidential information.
The TRI Report is due annually by July 1, covering the preceding calendar year. The report must be filed every year that EPA facility and chemical-specific criteria are met.
The Tier II Report is due annually by March 1, covering the preceding calendar year. Tier II reports must also be submitted to the appropriate Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) and fire department. The report should contain information on every chemical for which a Threshold Planning Quantity (TPQ) is exceeded. For help, please view the Tier II Reporting Flowchart.
