René Gonzalez, MBA, PHD

René works for Colorado Access, a nonprofit health plan that provides access to behavioral and physical health services for Coloradans covering the rural and metro/urban region of Colorado on evidenced based program implementation and community engagement. Photo of Rene Gonzalez

René Gonzalez obtained a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Management from the University of Northern Colorado in 2003. He then went on to complete his Master’s in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from Regis University and recently completed his Ph.D in Organizational Performance at Colorado State University. René was a Founding Board Member and the first Executive Director of Salida del Sol Academy Charter School, the only dual immersion language school in Weld County. René has not left his roots in academia, and is currently teaching for CU Boulder at the Leeds School of Business as affiliate faculty. 

In his spare time, René serves as a founding board member and vice chairman of the Northern Colorado Latino Foundation, board member with FC Greeley Soccer Club and the United Way Refugee Collaboration Committee. Rene also served as a board member for a variety of community organizations, including: Chair of the Jesus Rodarte Cultural Center board and Executive Member of the Greeley Chief of Police Advisory Board.
