Qualifying medical conditions
  • Cancer
  • Glaucoma
  • HIV or AIDS
  • Cachexia
  • Persistent muscle spasms
  • Seizures
  • Severe nausea
  • Severe pain
  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
To be be eligible for a medical marijuana card you must:
  • Be a Colorado resident
  • Be 18 or older
  • Have a qualifying medical condition
Minors are eligible for a medical marijuana card if:
  • Minor and the primary parent are Colorado residents
  • Minor has a qualifying medical condition​
All minor patients must see two physicians and submit two physician certifications.
Minor patients with the qualifying condition of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) 
  • Two physicians must diagnose the patient with PTSD
  • One of the physicians must be a board-certified pediatrician, a board-certified family physician, or a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist and attest that he or she is part of the patient's primary care provider team. This physician or psychiatrist should type their attestation in the etiology section of the physician certification.
