Funding Opportunity Details

Overdose Data-to-Action focuses on the complex and changing nature of the drug overdose epidemic and highlights the need for an interdisciplinary, comprehensive, and cohesive public health approach. The purpose of this funding opportunity is to support Syringe Exchange Program (SEP) prevention projects that reflect recent advances in the provision of comprehensive services to priority populations affected by comorbidities.  Specifically, this RFA supports comprehensive service delivery strategies for People Who Inject Drugs (PWID) who access services at SEPs. The overall intent of this RFA is to provide comprehensive Linkage to Care (LTC) services for PWID at one urban and one rural established SEP in the state of Colorado.

The goals of this project are to increase SEPs’ ability to link PWID clients to services such as:

  1. Substance use treatment,
  2. Primary care,
  3. Emergent care for injection-related infections,
  4. Diagnosis of HIV and viral hepatitis and related specialty care treatment,
  5. Prenatal care, and
  6. Other services.
