Back to Air Pollution Control Division outreach efforts

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, Air Pollution Control Division (Division) is holding several public meetings to engage stakeholders on potential revisions to the Air Quality Control Commission's Regulations Number 3 and 7, addressing the requirement set forth in SB 19-181 to minimize air emissions from the oil and gas industry. Note that this is the Division's first step of many to come in addressing SB 19-181 and other air quality related legislation adopted during the 2019 legislative session.

On September 19, 2019, the division requested that the Air Quality Control Commission schedule a hearing in December 2019, to consider proposed revisions to Regulation 7. Interested persons may petition the Commission to become a party to the rulemaking.

The COGCC is also taking steps to address the new directives in their statute as amended by SB 19-181. See the COGCC website for further information.
