Colorado Medical Cache

Protective equipment and durable medical supplies for emergency use by health care systems:
  • Available by request to all counties throughout Colorado.
  • Can be accessed by authorized personnel 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  • Resources are distributed on a case-by-case basis.
  • Supplies are stored in a secure, temperature- and environmentally controlled warehouse.
  • Requesting agency pays shipping costs.
  • Managed by the Mesa County Public Health.

Request resources

If the Emergency Operations Center is activated:
  1. Local public health/ESF-8 Lead contacts the Local Emergency Operations Center.
  2. Local Emergency Operations Center contacts the State Emergency Operations Center.
  3. Request is assigned to ESF-8 Desk within the State Emergency Operations Center.
  4. CDPHE ESF-8 lead or a designee will contact with the requester.
The process is reversed when the request is filled.

If the Emergency Operations Center isn't activated:
  1. Facility or agency contacts its local public health/ESF-8 lead.
  2. The local public health/ESF-8 Lead contacts us on the 24/7 Emergency Response and Incident Reporting Line:
Expired supplies
The cache may be able to donate expired or expiring supplies for emergency preparedness drills.
