Give yourself and your baby all the benefits of breastfeeding.
Along with doctors and all major medical organizations, including the American Academy of Pediatrics and the World Health Organization, we recommend:
- For the first 6 months, feed your baby only breast milk, even if it is offered by bottle.
- After 6 months, aim to continue breastfeeding while offering solid foods until your baby is at least 1 year old or older.
Breastfeeding longer has benefits that last a lifetime.
