Section 3-401 of the Colorado Retail Food Establishment Rules and Regulations (6 CCR 1010-2) addresses the prevention of food contamination by employees by making sure employees have no contact with ready-to-eat foods with their bare hands. If a retail food establishment prepares ready-to-eat food items that require bare hand contact by food employees, Section 3-301 (D) must be followed.
The regulations and the guidance documents have also been translated into Spanish, Japanese and Chinese.
