APPOINTMENT OF NEW DEPUTY DIRECTORS

Colorado Springs, CO:  Executive Director Rick Raemisch   announced today the appointment of Sean Foster as the Deputy Director of Prisons, and David Johnson as the Deputy Director of Adult Parole for the Colorado Department of Corrections.

Mr. Foster began his career with the Colorado Department of Corrections in August 1989 as a correctional officer at Shadow Mountain Correctional Facility.  He has worked his way through the correctional series at several different facilities, and has been assigned as the warden at Arkansas Valley Correctional Facility since January of 2016.

Mr. Johnson began his career with the Colorado Department of Corrections in January of 1996 as a correctional officer at Denver Reception and Diagnostic Center. He has worked his way through the correctional series at several different facilities, and has been assigned as the warden at the Denver Complex since 2014. As Warden of the Denver Complex, Mr. Johnson has worked closely with Division of Adult Parole staff to enhance processes for successful offender reentry to the community.

Regarding the appointments, Executive Director Rick Raemisch said “Both Mr. Foster and Mr. Johnson will be an asset to the executive team, the Colorado Department of Corrections, and the State of Colorado. Both individuals have a proven track record and bring a wealth of knowledge and leadership to their new positions”.
