Quality Performance and Outcomes Payments (QPOP)
Quality Performance and Outcomes Payments or QPOP certification is required to bill codes Z0815 and Z0816 per Rule 18-8. In order to obtain certification you must be accredited under Level I or Level II or have attended a seminar in the last 3 years in addition to completing a QPOP course, passing the QPOP examination and submitting a sufficient report. QPOP certification allows providers to bill for documenting a patient’s functional progress, which includes providing a functional outcome assessment in addition to a psychological screen.
