Effective August 10, 2016, the Colorado Employment Verification Law (§ 8-2-122, C.R.S.) requires employers to provide documentation, upon request of the director of the Division, demonstrating compliance with the employment verification requirements specified in 8 U.S.C. sec, 1324a(b).
Colorado immigration and employment law (§ 8-17.5-101 & 102, C.R.S.) effective August 7, 2006 applies to contractors who enter into or renew public contracts for services with a state agency or political subdivision.
