Job seekers and employers urged to participate in this free event.

(ALAMOSA)  --  The Alamosa Workforce Center and the Alamosa County Department of Social Services are teaming up for a job fair on Thursday, June 14, at the Blanca/Fort Garland Community Center from 10 am to 3 pm. It is an event designed to connect job seekers with a wide variety of job opportunities.

Job seekers throughout South Central Colorado are encouraged to attend. Whether you’re ready to make a major career transition or simply want to explore your options, you’ll find employers at the event who will be interested in talking with you.  In addition, representatives from the Alamosa Workforce Center will be on hand to assist job seekers with resume preparation and mock interviews if needed.

Date: Thursday, June 14
Time: 10 AM to 3 PM
Location: Blanca/Fort Garland Community Center, 17591 East Highway 160, Blanca, CO

Local businesses are hungry for talent and this is the place to find it. For job seekers who are new to the labor market, the event offers a great variety of job openings.  Recruiters will be seeking workers from entry-level to experienced. Job openings include full-time and part-time in a wide variety of industry sectors. It’s a great chance to meet with many prospective employers in a brief period of time.

There is still room for employers with job openings who are interested in participating. “Whether you are seeking workers for entry-level jobs or needing to fill higher-level positions, this is the event where you can connect with prospective employees in a timely and cost-effective way,” says Betty Velasquez, director of the South Central Workforce Centers.

If you would like to participate in this event or would like to learn more, please contact Barbara Pacheco of the Alamosa Workforce Center at 719-589-5118 ext 4 or by email at Barbara.pacheco@state.co.us
