Department of Labor and Employment’s
Graphic Design Team Wins Three Awards for Excellence

(DENVER) – The outstanding design work of the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment’s Office of Government, Policy and Public Relations has been recognized with three American In-House Design Awards by Graphic Design USA, an industry organization for professionals in print, web, packaging, television, film and video.

In the Corporate Identity category, the agency’s graphic designers received an award for the logo and branding design that was created for the Colorado Workforce Development Council. They also won in the Annual Report category for the layout and design of the Colorado Workforce Investment Act Annual Report for Program Year 2013.

In the Multimedia and Interactive category, the design team received an American In-House Design Award for the website that was created for the Hire For Colorado initiative.

“These national awards confirm what we have known all along about our exceptional design team,” says Department of Labor and Employment Executive Director Ellen Golombek.  “We need to see work that is imaginative, professional and compelling.  Good design strengthens our message and leaves a positive impression on our customers.  We’re fortunate to have professionals of this caliber making us look so good.”
