(CANON CITY) -- The Cañon City Workforce Center will host a hiring event on March 31, connecting job seekers with a variety of employment opportunities.
The Cañon City Job Fair takes place from 9 AM to 12 Noon at the Pueblo Community College/Fremont Campus, 51320 West U.S. Highway 50 in Cañon City. Representatives from more than 40 businesses will be at the event with full-time and part-time positions to be filled.
Among the employers scheduled to participate in the job fair are Centura Health, City of Cañon City, Colorado State Patrol, Federal Bureau of Prisons, Royal Gorge Bridge and Park, Royal Gorge Dinosaur Experience, and the Colorado Department of Corrections.
And recruitment is underway for more participating businesses. “We’re looking for employers with a diversity of job opportunities,” says John Martinez, director of the Cañon City Workforce Center. “Whether you have full-time or part-time seasonal job opportunities, entry-level jobs or higher level positions, this is the event where you can connect with prospective employees in a timely and cost-effective way.”
For job seekers, having an account with the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment’s job bank, Connecting Colorado is helpful but is not required. Anyone interested in participating in the free job fair can learn more about it by visiting the Cañon City Workforce Center at 3224 Independence Road or by calling 719-275-7408 or emailing CDLE_canoncity_wfc@state.co.us.
