2016-17 Wildly Important Goals
As part of the development of the Colorado Department of Human Services' annual performance plan, CDHS establishes up to five Wildly Important Goals (WIGs) each state fiscal year. The department's executive leadership develops WIGs that will advance its strategic policy initiatives. Each WIG is designed to be measurable, responsive to change and transparent.
CDHS's 2016-17 WIGs included boosting the number of Colorado communities that accept Colorado Child Care Assistance; increasing the all-family work participation rate; ensuring that clients entering mental health services improve or maintain housing; responding in a timely manner to child abuse and neglect referrals; and improving client and staff well-being at CDHS's 24/7 facilities by increasing direct-care hours.
