2015-16 Wildly Important Goals
As part of the development of the Colorado Department of Human Services' annual performance plan, CDHS establishes up to five Wildly Important Goals (WIGs) each state fiscal year. The department's executive leadership develops WIGs that will advance its strategic policy initiatives. Each WIG is designed to be measurable, responsive to change and transparent.
CDHS's 2015-16 WIGs included providing timely food assistance; increasing the percentage of children in high-quality child care facilities; improving consistency and achieving compliance with national medical standards; and establishing regular meetings with House and Senate oversight committees in the Colorado legislature.
