2014-15 Wildly Important Goals
As part of the development of the Colorado Department of Human Services' annual performance plan, CDHS establishes up to five Wildly Important Goals (WIGs) each state fiscal year. The department's executive leadership develops WIGs that will advance its strategic policy initiatives. Each WIG is designed to be measurable, responsive to change and transparent.
CDHS's 2014-15 WIGs included increasing the percentage of children receiving quality child care; reducing statewide homelessness; reducing the number of children in congregate care; ending the practice of transferring civilly committed patients to the Department of Corrections; and improving the rate of employment outcomes in the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.
