2018 Primary Election Alerts: 

How important is it to vote in the June 26, 2018 Primary Election?  Please be aware that Primary Elections are to select candidates to go on to the November General Election. 

A Primary vote can be the deciding vote for an office if there is no one else running for that office.  Pursuant to C.R.S. 1-4-105 “No person who has been defeated as a candidate in a primary election shall be eligible for election to the same office by ballot or as a write-in candidate in the next general election.” 

Public Notice: Ordinance Restricting Open Fires and Open Burning in the Unincorporated areas of Alamosa County, Colorado.

No Open Fire or Open Burning When Red Flag Warning is in Effect

When the National Weather Service has issued a "red flag warning" for any part of unincorporated areas of Alamosa County, open fire and burning  is prohibited and any existing burn projects must be extinguished. Violations of Ordinance No. 18 are subject to fines.
