Safe Shelter of St. Vrain Valley Launches Mobile Advocacy Services for Diverse Communities

Safe Shelter of St. Vrain Valley has launched a mobile advocacy services project that has been designed to expand its public awareness and free confidential services to survivors of domestic violence (DV) with the help of its community partners. The program will focus on members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer/questioning (LGBTQ) community, seniors, people with disabilities and those who identify as Latin@.

OBH Co-Hosts Opioid Safety Summit

More than 350 people attended today's Opioid Safety Summit hosted by OBH and the Colorado Hospital Association (CHA). Attendees heard personal stories of addiction to opioids, a presentation on stigma from OBH Director Robert Werthwein, fantastic results from CHA's Opioid Safety Pilot in 10 Colorado hospitals and more.

Dana Knowles, a former 9News anchor, kicked off the day by sharing her powerful personal story of opioid addiction, withdrawal and recovery.
