Project Angel Heart
Staff volunteers from the Division of Youth Services (DYS) accompanied five youth to the Globeville neighborhood to plant vegetables for the upcoming growing season. Each year, DYS partners with Project Angel Heart to plant, care for, and harvest fresh vegetables that are then donated to the food bank in Globeville. The youth hope to surpass last year's donations of several hundred pounds of fresh vegetables for families in need. The youth worked hard preparing the garden and planting. The project is very impactful to both the youth and the community. This year the project had two youth participate that were no longer in DYS programming but wanted to continue the annual tradition of giving back.
