Helping Habitat for Humanity with their Mission in Denver

Employee's with the Division of Youth Services at Lookout Mountain Youth Services Center teamed up with six youth from the Eagles Program to help Habitat for Humanity with the True Value Convention.  The convention is held every other year at the Denver Convention Center.  This year, the youth helped pack up donations after the convention completed.  Habitat for Humanity received about 32 tractor trailers full of donations--amounting to around $400,000 in donations to help Habitat with their mission in the Denver Metro area.  Some of the donations were also sent to the east coast to assist the Red Cross with the storms and flooding in the Carolina's. Youth participating worked very hard to support the mission of Habitat, demonstrating their commitment to giving back to their community.
