Earth Day!

Earth DaySeveral youth and staff from Zeb Pike Youth Services Center participated in Earth Day activities on Saturday, April 22 by combining forces with a local neighborhood association's annual spring cleanup.  The youth and staff, along with several members of the Stramoor Hills Neighborhood Association, filled a large dumpster with yard debris and household goods and appliances that were no longer needed.  The neighborhood association, with support from El Paso County, has been doing this service for the past several years.   According to the President of the association, the work of the staff and youth from Zeb Pike was very impactful.  “They did a great job for us and pitched right in to help.  They were positive and had a great attitude throughout the morning.  Everyone enjoyed their company.”  The experience proved rewarding for the youth involved, as one commented, “It was a fun day.  I felt like we made a difference.”
