Division of Youth Services hosts the Council of State Governments Justice Center

During a two-day event, Colorado hosted the Council of State Governments (CGS) Justice Center in a convening to provide juvenile justice experts an overview of their work and to facilitate break-out groups to understand what the state does well and how these strengths can be enhanced. The event, held at Lookout Mountain Youth Services Center in Golden, was attended by judges, probation, law enforcement, county human services, the Department of Human Services, advocacy groups, district attorneys, defense attorneys, residential providers, education and research and evaluation.

CSG partners with states to provide practical, non-partisan, research-driven strategies to reduce youth recidivism, increase public safety and help strengthen communities.
