Creative Services Across Colorado

woman-on-phone.PNGRecently, the DVP team reached out to funded organizations just to see how everyone was doing. Our main purpose was to see how the staff were doing, learn about adjustments to services being offered, inquire about financial impacts, and to be available for any questions. We really appreciate the time Executive and Program Directors took to speak with us about their experiences over the last few weeks. It was wonderful to hear of the creative strategies organizations put into place in response to keeping services going while responding to the COVID-19 crisis. This includes repurposing funds for hotel stays to prevent crowding at shelters, developing systems to allow for chat and email for clients that can’t speak on the phone, producing training videos for youth and other community members, implementing telehealth services, and much more.

We are so grateful for all of the employees and volunteers providing services to survivors of domestic violence during this crisis. Thank you for your continued dedication to serving survivors of domestic violence!
