About Alasana


Alasana is both a registered nurse and a house supervisor at the Veterans Community Living Center at Fitzsimons. Day to day, Alasana oversees all house services that are needed when he’s on shift. And when management isn’t present, he oversees a myriad of issues that range from security to handling residents’ needs. He has served the veterans at Fitzsimons for more than 10 years.

Alasana always is willing to go the extra mile to ensure our employees grow and learn, as well as ensuring the safety of our veterans. Alasana has a positive attitude and smiles and greets everyone he encounters. Alasana is a great asset to the long-term care community and complements this facility and the nursing profession well.

Alasana is our ‘go-to’ guy when our team needs assistance with our Electronic Health Record (EHR) because of his extensive knowledge and experience. He serves as a great resource to our employees and assists them in developing their learning and understanding of more than just EHR.

‘No’ is not a word that exists in his vocabulary. He is always willing to go the extra mile and help out in any way he needs to. Asalana has a way of reassuring management that the task we ask him to complete will be done timely, efficiently and with a positive attitude.

Alsana has admirable critical thinking, documentation and assessment skills. He often defuses difficult situations with residents and staff over the weekend and evening hours when management is not present. His advanced clinical skill set provides our nursing team with oversight that ensures we are providing the best quality of care to our veterans.

Alasana also possesses excellent bedside manner. He treats our veterans with the utmost respect in every interaction he has with them. He is a leader, a mentor and an example for all to follow.”
