The purpose of the CCDHH Legal Auxiliary Services Advisory Council is to advise in matters pertinent to the provision of quality auxiliary services (Sign Language Interpreters or CART) and to ensure effective communication for deaf and hard of hearing individuals and the Colorado State Courts as set forth by C.R.S. 13-90-(201–210). The Council is made up of to two members that are deaf, two members that are hard of hearing, three sign language interpreters holding the Legal Credential Authorization (at least one CDI preferred), one CART Provider, and one person with background and experience in disability law.
