The Board of Commissoners Veterans Community Living Centers was established to provide continuity, predictability and stability in the operations of the Veterans Community Living Centers (VCLCs). The commissioners are charged with providing guidance and advisement to the VCLC administrators.
The Commission consists of seven members, no more than four of whom are members of the same political party.
Kathleen Dunemn, Ph.D, APRN, CNM
Littleton (D) rep. expertise in nursing home operations and who has experience in nursing homes
Cheryl Kruschke, Ed.D, , MS, RN, CNE
Wheat Ridge (D), expertise in nursing home operations and who has experience in multi-facility management of nursing homes
Brush (R), expertise in nursing home operations and is a nursing home administrator at the time of appointment
Larkspur (R), rep. veteran
Castle Rock (U), rep. veteran and as a member of the State Board of Veterans Affairs or Board’s designee
Denver (D), rep. veteran
Evergreen (D), rep. state long-term care ombudsman
