Executive Director Position Opening

The Cañon City Area Recreation and Park District is accepting applications and resumes for the Executive Director position. 
Under the direction of the CCRD Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for the overall operation of the District including fiscal management, recruitment of employees, purchasing agent, facility maintenance, program development, public relations and long-term comprehensive planning.  

Education and experience requirements: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a BA or BS degree in Parks and Recreation Management, Public Administration, or related or relevant field of study, and a minimum of five years’ experience in a high level executive or management position at a parks and recreation agency or any equivalent combination of education and experience.  Experience in public administration, governmental accounting and budgeting, and personnel management. 
  
Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record required. 

This position involves some evening and weekend work.
