Colorado Missing Persons Day—February 3, 2017

02/02/2017—Colorado’s Missing Persons Day is being honored with a series of events at the state Capitol building (200 E. Colfax Avenue) beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, February 3, 2017. In addition to a Resolution being read at the Capitol, a ceremony on the steps of the Capitol will honor more than 400 individuals currently missing for more than a year in the State of Colorado.

Colorado Missing Persons Day Events at the State Capitol on February 3, 2017:

·         9:00 a.m.—Missing Persons Day Resolution read during the Senate Session

·         10:00 a.m.—Missing Persons Day Resolution read during the House Session

·         11:45—Missing Persons Ceremony on the West Steps of the Capitol building

“The Colorado Bureau of Investigation is dedicated to identifying information about the state’s missing men, women and children through programs such as the Cold Case Database, Cold Case Task Force, and partnerships with national organizations focused on locating missing persons,” said CBI Director Michael Rankin. “Our agents, analysts and forensic scientists not only support our law enforcement community to help bring resolution to these cases, but also the families who are coping with a missing loved one.” 

Colorado’s Missing Persons Day is being sponsored by Colorado State Senator Jerry Sonnenberg’s Office.
