Will anybody know I'm coming to C-SEAP for counseling?

C-SEAP does not disclose that you are coming to our office for counseling.  Counseling services are strictly confidential.  The only exceptions are when you give written permission for others to be informed, or in rare situations in which the law requires others to be informed for reasons of physical safety.  

Can I refer an employee to C-SEAP?

If you are a supervisor, please call our main number (303) 866-4314 or 1 (800)821-8154 and set up a Workplace Consultation to speak with one of our EAP specialists to help determine the best route for referral.  This also helps gather information to help determine the best outcome for supervisor and employee. If you’re an employee and would like to refer a co-worker, give the employee the information they need to give us a call, we would be happy to discuss counseling options with them.

Can I schedule an appointment after hours?

Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  C-SEAP does not have evening or weekend hours.  If this is a life threatening emergency, please call 911 or go to your closest emergency room.

Do I have to use a C-SEAP counselor?

It is not mandatory that you use C-SEAP for counseling.  If you have a specific need, or would like to use a counselor of your preference contact your insurance provider to discuss your benefit.  C-SEAP does not cover costs incurred by utilizing private counselors. 

How do I use C-SEAP?

In order to schedule an appointment, call C-SEAP anytime Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.  When you contact C-SEAP, a staff specialist will ask you for some general information and set up an appointment for you to meet with a counseling professional.  Additional after hours resources are available on our voice mail as well as on our website.

What about supervisory referrals?

Your supervisor may recommend C-SEAP services.  Even if you are referred by a supervisor, unless you’ve given written consent your confidentiality remains protected by law.

What is C-SEAP?

C-SEAP is a professional assessment, referral, and short-term counseling service offered to State employees with work-related or personal concerns, as well as a resource for supervisors and managers seeking individual managerial consultation, work-group organizational development, assistance with conflict resolution, or help with resolution of work-place traumatic events.

Where are my counseling sessions?

When you call our main office 303-866-4314 or 1-800-821-8154 to schedule your initial appointment, you will be assigned to the C-SEAP office that is closest to your location.

Who can use C-SEAP?

All active employees receiving a State of Colorado paycheck are eligible for C-SEAP services.
