CHRAB hosts Archives 101 Workshop on the Western Slope

On Friday, April 17th, 2015 CHRAB (Colorado Historical Records Advisory Board) hosted a workshop in Rifle on the basics of handling archival materials.

The workshop was attended by over 20 people who were from a variety of museums and historical societies on the Western Slope. Titled "Archives 101," the workshop covered the basics of archival theory, as well as best practices for organizing and preserving historic materials.

Original speakers Jay Trask and Janet Bishop were unable to attend, so State Archivist George Orlowski and Audio Archivist for the State, Aly Jabrocki gave the presentation.

Part of CHRAB's mission is to provide outreach for Archives throughout the state. They look forward to hosting more workshops next year.
