Job Description:  Serves as a part of a team to be a resource for local public health agencies within the San Luis Valley region and the state of Colorado.  Collaborates with other regional staff, health care providers, hospitals, schools and other partners in researching, developing, communicating, coordinating and executing epidemiologic aspects of public health preparedness and response efforts and strategies.  Plays an important role in responding to emergencies and disasters.  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a science-based or health care discipline is required.  Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in public health, epidemiology or biostatistics is preferred.  Documented professional experience working at a state or local public health agency in areas related to epidemiology and communicable disease prevention and control is required.  Exempt, salary $55,000 to $60,000 per year.  Full time, full benefits.
