The Alamosa County Commissioners have announced a “Notice of Vacancy” and accepting applications for two board positions on the San Luis Valley Fair Board.  The term of the appointment is 3 years.

The San Luis Valley Fair Board is run by a volunteer board that covers representation from all 6 SLV Counties.  The Commissioners are looking for individuals who have knowledge in fair activities, 4-H or FFA development, fundraising, or working with youth in a positive and constructive manner.

The SLV Fair Board meets once a month in the evening at the CSU Extension office in Monte Vista.

A Board Member is expected to participate in the SLV Fair in August and have available time for set-up, take down, and able to help resolve issues that may arise during the week.

The goal of the SLV Fair Board is to provide a Fair that is educational and fun for all 4-H participants where they can compete against their peers in a variety of categories.

Interested applicants must fill out an application avaiilable here and return it to Belina Ramirez at bramirez@alamosacounty.org.  All applications must be received by December 21, 2018.  For questions directed to the Fair, please send an email to info@sanluisvalleyfair.com.
