Appointment: Local Marketing District Board

The Alamosa County Commissioners have announced a “Notice of Vacancy” and accepting applications for a board member position on the Local Marketing District Board through the Alamosa Convention & Visitors Bureau.

The Alamosa Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) is funded through the Alamosa Lodging Tax and the Alamosa Local Marketing District tax collections. The CVB team of professional staff serve at the direction of the Alamosa Tourism Development Board and the Local Marketing District Board. The members of these boards are appointed by the Alamosa County Commissioners and include the very best community leaders who have a firsthand knowledge of tourism and economic development. The board meets on the second Thursday of every month unless otherwise posted. Meeting agendas are posted at The Depot, 610 State Avenue, Alamosa.

It is the goal of the Local Marketing District to bring visitors to Alamosa County while providing them with the best attractions, events, and services possible.

Expectations of a board member is to attend the meetings and actively engage in the direction and budget of the Local Marketing District.  This is an unpaid board position and you must be a resident of Alamosa County to apply.
