Notice of Vacancy

Alamosa County is accepting applications for one (1) board position on the SLV Regional Airport Advisory Board.  The position to be filled must be a pilot.  

The purpose of the Advisory Board is to promote a standard of ethics and sustainable business practices for the airport operations, partnerships, and economic development; to promote professionalism and financial stability in the administration of the airport; to advise the Alamosa Board of County Commissioners and airport management regarding sustainable management of the SLV Regional Airport in accordance with the practices of recognized professional airports.

Alamosa County appoints board members for a three year term.  The SLV Regional Airport Advisory Board meets the second Thursday of every other month beginning each January at 8:15 am.    

Expectations of a board member are to attend the meetings, make recommendations, be an advocate for the airport, ensure the airport is managed responsibly, and review policy matters relevant to airport operations and development of facilities at the airport. This is an unpaid board position and applicant must be a resident of the San Luis Valley.
