PROPOSED RULE ADDITION
TO CREATE A PETSITTER CATEGORY FOR LICENSURE
Dear Future PACFA Petsitter Category Licensees,
The Department of Agriculture’s PACFA Program will be holding a stakeholder meeting on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at 10 a.m. to be held at the Department of Agriculture at 305 Interlocken Parkway, Broomfield, CO 80021 in the San Juan and Arkansas Rooms, to discuss a proposed rule addition to PACFA Rule 8 CCR 1202-15, Section 1.00 Definitions and Abbreviations that would create a new category of licensure for Petsitters.
1.00 Definitions and Abbreviations
“PETSITTING FACILITY” MEANS ANY FIRM, PERSON, OR CORPORATION THAT CARES FOR OR HOUSES FOUR OR MORE PET ANIMALS PER YEAR AT THEIR PLACE OF RESIDENCE IN THE ABSENCE OF THE OWNER, OR SUCH OWNER'S DESIGNEE, AND RECEIVES COMPENSATION FOR SAID SERVICES.
“Boarding/training facility” means any firm, person, or corporation that cares for, houses, or trains pet animals in the absence of the owner, or such owner's designee, and receives compensation for said services or correctional facility pet animal training programs regardless or compensation.
A BOARDING/TRAINING FACILITY DOES NOT MEAN A FIRM, PERSON, OR CORPORATION THAT CARES FOR OR HOUSES FEWER THAN FOUR PET ANIMALS PER YEAR AT THEIR PLACE OF RESIDENCE IN THE ABSENCE OF THE OWNER, OR SUCH OWNER’S DESIGNEE, AND RECEIVES COMPENSATION FOR SAID SERVICES.
