Security

The Office of Administrative Courts has a security officer on site in the Denver office.  If you have a security concern, please complete the Security Request form and fax it to the Denver office at 303-866-5909.

The Denver office uses a metal detector to screen parties appearing for a hearing as well as searching bags and suitcases.  All parties are required to pass through the 14th floor security area, which opens at 8:00 am.  No parties will be allowed to enter prior to the 8:00 am opening time.  All employees working for or representing a State of Colorado agency should have their state issued identification cards visible when entering the 14th floor.  Law enforcement officers will be allowed to carry their firearms while on the 14th floor only if they are under subpoena to testify.  Law enforcement officers on personal business, i.e. State Personnel Board cases, will be asked to secure their firearms in their vehicles, as the OAC will not be responsible for firearms storage.  The OAC may refuse entry to any person who poses a security risk or who fails to follow any of the security procedures.
