Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Colorado: State & National Resources

Mineral County Calender

Governor Polis issued Executie Order D 2020 091 Safer at Home and in the Vast, Great Outdoors on June 1, 2020 and has amended it since.  State Public Health Order 20-28 was issued concurrently and was amended 9 times.  Subsequently State Public Health Order 20-35 was issued defining the Safer At Home Dial, this PHO became the authorizing document for the Safer At Home level of restrictions.  At the time of this issuance Mineral County was classified as a Level 1 (or Blue) County because of our minimal case counts.  PHO 20-35 has been amended twice since then.  The last amendment became effective October 23, 2020.  This amendment was issued due to the alarming increase in hospitalizations due to COVID-19.  This amendment limits personal gathering to no more than 10 people from no more than two separate households.  On November 2 the Governor issued Executive Order 2020 237 that refines the COVID Dial and lays out stronger enforcement tools. On November 3, 2020, PHO 20-36 was issued that supports the Executive Order 2020 235. On November 27, 2020 Executive Order 2020 265 was issued that amends 2020 235 regarding the COVID Dial.  Following that PHO 20-36 was amended on December 7, 2020.  On February 6, 2021 the Governor made changes to the COVID Dial metrics effectively loosening restrictions slightly.  The Executive Orders and amendments and accompanying most recently Amended State Public Health Orders as well as the Mandated Mask Executive Order as well as the COVID Dial and the capacity restriction for each level and FAQ's about the Dial change can be read here.

Mineral County Board of Commissioners has made the decision to take the Emergency Declaration down for Mineral County.  This decision is always subject to change depending on conditions.
