Member Experience Advisory Council

Health First Colorado and Child Health Plan Plus members, we need your voice!

The Department has created two Member Experience (formerly Person- and Family-Centeredness) Advisory Councils for Health First Colorado (Colorado's Medicaid Program) and Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) members to get involved. The purpose of the In-Person and Virtual Member Experience Advisory Councils is to help the Department develop and maintain a culture of person-centeredness by engaging the voices of members, family members and caretakers who are not normally at the table and provide additional member, family member, and caretaker feedback.

In-Person Advisory Council
The In-Person Advisory Council meets no more than once a month in Denver. Mileage reimbursement and cash or gift card incentives for participation are available. Check out the position description of the In-Person Advisory Council for more information.

Virtual Advisory Council
The Virtual Advisory Council will provide feedback through email, surveys and/or an online forums. Virtual Advisory Council members will receive requests for feedback from the Department once a month. In-person meetings are not required and cash or gift card incentives for participation are not available. Check out the position description of the Virtual Advisory Council for more information.

You can apply for both the In-Person and Virtual Advisory Council by filling out our online application. After you complete the application, we’ll follow up with a phone interview. In an effort to engage members, family members and stakeholders who do not normally participate in Department stakeholder or member engagement efforts, preference will be given to applicants who do not serve in an advocacy or lobbying role for an organization that has specific interest in the Department’s work.
