The Hospital Provider Fee Oversight and Advisory Board ended effective June 30, 2017 with the implementation of the Colorado Healthcare Affordability and Sustainability Enterprise Act of 2017, Section 25.5-4-402.4, Colorado Revised Statutes, following the enactment of Senate Bill 17-267. The Hospital Provider Fee Oversight and Advisory Board made recommendations to the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing and the Medical Services Board regarding the implementation of the hospital provider fee established by the Colorado Health Care Affordability Act, Section 25.5-4-402.3, Colorado Revised Statutes, prior to its repeal. These recommendations included the amount of the hospital provider fee, the increased hospital payments, and the quality incentive payments, as well as the approach to expanding coverage under Health First Colorado (Colorado's Medicaid Program) and Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) from 2009 through June 2017.
