Why did I get the "Response needed about your income" letter??

You received this letter because the income you most recently gave us does not match what we have in our records. We need to make sure we have the correct information about your income so we can see if you still qualify for health benefits.

What do I need to do to reply to the "Response needed about your income" letter?

If the income information on the letter is wrong or you have a change to report, go to Colorado.gov/PEAK to fill out the About My Income Form. If the income amount on the letter is correct and you have no changes to report, you do not need to respond to the letter. We will send you another letter if you no longer qualify for Health First Colorado or CHP+.

I do not recognize the name of an employer listed on the letter. What should I do?

If you do not recognize the employer name, ask your employer if they do business under a different name.

What is the Income Eligibility and Verification System (IEVS)?

The Income Eligibility and Verification System or IEVS is a system that compares the income that you report when you apply for Health First Colorado (Colorado’s Medicaid Program) or Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) with the income employers report to the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment for all of their employees. If there is a significant difference between the income you report and the employer-reported income in IEVS, you will receive a letter asking you to explain why the numbers are different, and/or to provide proof of your income.
