Gov. Polis Statement on SCOTUS Decision on Gerrymandering

DENVER - Governor Jared Polis released the following statement in response to the United States Supreme Court's decision today in the partisan gerrymandering cases:

“Partisan political gerrymandering erodes confidence in our elections and is destructive to our democracy. Colorado has made progress on this issue and should serve as a model for other states in protecting the integrity of our representative form of government. Colorado has stepped up and done the right thing by making sure that politicians don’t draw their own districts and we are ready to help any state who would follow our lead.”
