Gov. Polis Appoints San Miguel County Court Judge

DENVER — Gov. Jared Polis today announced the appointment of Sean Kendall Murphy to the San Miguel County Court in the 7th Judicial District. His appointment fills the vacancy created by the retirement of the Honorable Susanne J. Ross.  

Murphy is currently an attorney for Tueller & Gibbs, LLC, a position he has held since 2017. His practice consists of corporate and tax law and mergers and acquisitions. Previously, Mr. Murphy was an attorney with White & Case, LLP (1996-1999); Mayer Brown (1999-2001); Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, LLP (2001-2003); Deloitte Tax, LLP (2003-2012); and the Law Office of Sean Murphy (2012-2017). Murphy earned his B.A.from Davidson College in 1991 and his J.D. from Duke University in 1996.

Murphy’s appointment is effective June 6, 2020.
