DENVER — Monday, Aug. 21, 2017 — Gov. John Hickenlooper today announced Boards and Commissions appointments to the State Board of the Great Outdoors Colorado Trust Fund and State Board of Social Work Examiners.

The State Board of the Great Outdoors Colorado Trust Fund uses a portion of Colorado Lottery proceeds to help preserve and enhance the State’s parks, trails, wildlife, rivers and open spaces. The Board awards competitive grants to local governments and land trusts, and makes investments through Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

For terms expiring April 15, 2021:

  • Jason B. Brinkley of Aurora, a Republican and resident of the 6th Congressional District, reappointed;

  • Warren Hall Dean of Colorado Springs, a Democrat and resident of the 5th Congressional District, appointed;

  • Karma Giulianelli of Golden, a Democrat and resident of the 7th Congressional District, reappointed;

  • Natalie Jo Rogers of Yuma, an Unaffiliated and resident of the 4th Congressional District, reappointed;

  • Linda Jean Strand of Aurora, a Democrat and resident of the 6th Congressional District, reappointed;

  • Hollie Jean Velasquez Horvath of Denver, a Democrat and resident of the 1st Congressional District, reappointed.

The State Board of Social Work Examiners licenses social workers in Colorado and conducts hearings concerning complaints against licensed social workers.

For a term expiring June 30, 2018:

  • Tiffany Nicole Sponaugle, LCSW of Northglenn, to serve as a professional member, and occasioned by the resignation of Jaime Christine Peterson, LCSW of Fort Collins, appointed;

For terms expiring June 30, 2021:

  • Jennifer Silva of Alamosa, to serve as a member of the public, appointed;

  • Brian Reed Smith, LCSW of Denver, to serve as a professional member, appointed.
