DENVER — Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014 — Gov. John Hickenlooper released this statement today in response to the Colorado Air Quality Control Commission’s approval of comprehensive changes to rules governing oil and gas activities in the state, including the nation’s first-ever regulations designed to detect and reduce methane emissions:

DENVER — Friday, Feb. 14, 2014 — Gov. John Hickenlooper released this statement today in response to guidance from the federal government related to the banking system and state-licensed marijuana businesses:

"Based on initial reactions in the banking community to the guidance that was issued today, it appears that the language does not provide the clarity that Colorado banks are seeking to provide basic banking services to the emerging marijuana industry.

DENVER — Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014 — Gov. John Hickenlooper today delivered his fourth State of the State address and talked about jobs and the economic health of Colorado, as well as successful efforts to create a solid budget for the state, build reserves and eliminate bureaucracy.

He also spoke about the challenges faced by Coloradans in the past year, from fires to floods to shootings.
