John Hickenlooper and cabinet members will be visiting the Lamar community to engage in discussions on important issues to residents, communities and the state including workforce and economic development, state budget, energy and environment, health and infrastructure.
DENVER — Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2015 — Gov. John Hickenlooper issued the following statement after the announcement by the U.S. Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) that it has issued a “non-warranted decision” in regard to a potential listing of the Greater Sage-Grouse under the Endangered Species Act:
DENVER — Monday, Sept. 21, 2015 — The Office of Gov. John Hickenlooper is accepting applications for the position of District Attorney in the 21st Judicial District, which includes Mesa County. A vacancy in this office is due to the resignation of District Attorney Pete Hautzinger, which will become effective on or before October 31, 2015.
DENVER — Monday, Sept. 21, 2015 — The Governor’s Office of State Planning and Budgeting (OSPB) released its quarterly economic forecast today. This is the last revenue projection before Gov. Hickenlooper releases the FY 2016-17 budget request on Nov. 2, 2015.
DENVER – Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015 – Gov. Hickenlooper, in partnership with conservation groups, industry representatives, and agriculture leaders, today requested recognition by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Bureau of Land Management to establish the Colorado Habitat Exchange – initially focused on the greater sage-grouse.
DENVER — Thursday, Sept. 17, 2015 — The fourth annual Denver Post Pedal The Plains Bicycle Tour will launch from Julesburg, Colorado for a three-day, 155 mile journey through eastern Colorado’s high plains.
DENVER — Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015 — Gov. John Hickenlooper today announced the appointment of Christopher Seldin as district court judge for the 9th Judicial District, which includes Garfield, Pitkin and Rio Blanco counties.
Seldin will fill a vacancy created by the retirement of the Honorable Gail H. Nichols, effective November 1, 2015.
DENVER — Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015 — Gov. John Hickenlooper today announced the state’s commitment of more than $100 million over the next four years to enhance Colorado’s ability to become the best state to ride a bike.
